EVELYN COLLEEN REED HENSLEY, age 87, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on December 6, 2023. She was a childhood member of Hartman Chapel of Mosheim, and then was a member of and faithfully attended Buffalo Grove Baptist as long as her health permitted. She retired after 33 years of service from Magnavox/North American Phillips, was a true farmer’s wife for 65 years, and also loved housekeeping and gardening. She was a loving and caring mother, aunt, and sister. Preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Ralph Hensley; parents, Elmo and Georgia Honeycutt Reed of Mosheim; sisters, Hilda Harmon (Jerry), and June Malone (Leroy). She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Hensley Osborne and her fiancé, Tommy Wolfenbarger; sister-in-law, Yvonne Hensley of Indiana; special friends who were like family, Shawn and Debbie Livesay; special cousin, Charlotte Justice of Mosheim, TN; niece and nephews, Patricia Davis (Larry) of Greeneville, TN, Roger Malone (Mason) of Knoxville, TN, Roy Dale Malone (Lynda) of Georgia, Billy Hensley of Johnson City, TN; and several other nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023 at Buffalo Grove Cemetery for an 11:00 graveside service with Brad Phillips officiating.
