Evelyn Helena Grindstaff Ivey

EVELYN HELENA GRINDSTAFF IVEY, age 91, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson city. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed crafts. She was preceded in her passing by husband of 49 years, Byrd C. Ivey (1986) and was the daughter of the late David and Minnie Cook Grindstaff. Evelyn was a long time member and former Sunday School teacher of the Swann's Chapel Baptist Church. Survived by children, Joyce F. (Russell C.) Bowman of Yulee, FL, Bobby L. Ivey of Dandridge; and Loyd C. (Vivian) Ivey of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Danny Paul Fine, George Dean Fine, Donald Glen Fine, Clifton Dale Fine, Steven Ashley Ivey, Shannon Machelle Fann, David Wayne Ivey, Whitney Dana Ivey, Christopher Loys Ivey and David Gene Ivey; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; brother, Clifton (Thelma) Grindstaff of Knoxville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 at Swann's Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. Sonny Strange and Bro. Randy Haun officiating. Interment to follow at the Swann's Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
