Box 1025 Dandridge, TN 37725 Phone (865) 397-2711 Fax (865) 397-9289 OBITUARY: EVELYN GONZALEZ CROWE, age 58, of Dandridge, TN, was born on May 20, 1949 in Puerto Rico, and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 after a long illness. Evelyn worked at Dandridge Seafood and The Wagon Wheel before retiring in 1994. She attended River of Life Fellowship with Pastor Peggy Moore and served the Lord for 28 years. She loved to worship the Lord through music and prayer. Strength and honor were her clothing. She shall rejoice in time to come, she opens her mouth with wisdom, and her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her; but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother who was preceded in death by her father, George Gonzalez and devoted grandma, Maria Gonzalez. Survivors include husband, Bobby Crowe of Dandridge; mother, Evelyn Gonzalez of Puerto Rice; step-sons, Jeff Crowe, Josh Crowe of Dandridge; daughters, Robin (Dave) Harrold of Cleveland, OH, Raygene (Steve) Lay of Dandridge; son, Bobby White of Dandridge; grandchildren, Mark and David Harrold of Cleveland, OH, Isaiah, Maria and Daniel Lay of Dandridge; sisters, Lily Gonzalez of Greeneville, TN, Mareene Gonzalez of Miami, FL and Suezette Gonzalez of Puerto Rico; devoted uncle, Ray Gonzalez of Fairborn, OH; a host of cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Special thanks to Dr. Emmett Manley and his nurse, Regina Cameron of Mossey Creek Clinic and many thanks to the staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital for the wonderful and exceptional care through Mom's extended illness. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Peggy Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 12:45 p.m. Friday afternoon at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
