EVA M. KEIRSEY, age 90, exchanged this walk of life for a heavenly home at 4:30 p.m. on October 15, 2008, at the Newport Health and Rehab Center, where she made her home for the past 5 years. She was formerly of the White Pine, TN community for many years. She was born in gate City, VA on July 14, 1918, but always celebrated July the 4th as her birthday. She was the daughter of the late Shep and Bittie McCrackens and a member of the Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Bulls Gap, TN. Preceded in death by husband, Arthur J. Keirsey, Sr.; son, William (Bill) Keirsey; brother, Albert McCrackens; step-daughter and husband, Stella and J. C. Blair; step-grandson, Robert Blair. Leaving behind to cherish her memory and wait for the reunion day are her son, Reverend A. J. Keirsey, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Rogersville, TN; daughter, Ann Rines and husband, John Alferd Rines of White Pine, TN; three grandchildren, Tonya Phillips and husband, Lendell of Morristown, TN, John Rines, Jr. (Junior) of White Pine, TN, Lisa Helton and husband, Reverend Steven Helton of Rogersville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Ezekiel and Patrick Phillips of Morristown, TN and Caleb and Bethany Helton of Rogersville, TN; step-grandsons, Jakie and Charles Blair and families of Rogersville, TN; special friends Lon and Ann Sinard of White Pine, TN. The family wishes to express our thanks to Newport Health Care, Dr. Kenneth Hill and Smoky Mountain Hospice for the love and care you gave her and the family. Friends may call at A. J.?s home, 932 Kite Road, Rogersville, TN or Ann?s home, 3498 Beth Carr Road, White Pine, TN. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Kenneth Richards and Reverend Robert Weems officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning to proceed to Coleman Cemetery in White Pine for an 11:00 graveside interment service.
