Eugene "Gene" Swann

EUGENE “GENE” SWANN, age 75, of Talbott, TN passed away on Tuesday evening, April 4, 2017 at his home. He was retired from Magnavox with 37 years of service, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Edna Swann; brothers, Winston and Howard Swann. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janice Swann; daughters, Jeanine Hodge (Ronnie), and Marci McGhee (Mark); grandchildren, Chelsea Cabbage, Tyler McGhee, Kenzie McGhee, Bo McGhee and Kason McGhee; sisters, Patty Peters and Sue Collins, brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Bobbie Wright; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives; special friends, Charlie Matthews and Calvin Ballinger. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. T. H. Ferrell and Rev. Tim Collins officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
