She especially loved her role as Grandma and did her best to spiritually guide and teach her family. Mom was a Godly woman who loved the Lord, her family, and church. She walked by faith and led by example. She dedicated many years of her life in service to the Lord as a longstanding member of Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She spent many years as a homemaker. She loved to cook, sew, and care for her family. She also loved the outdoors. She would mow, work in the garden, and tend to her flowers. Her hibiscus plant became one of her favorite flowers to admire. She could sing, play the guitar, and sew. For many years, she made quilts and clothing. She will be forever remembered for her caring heart, beautiful smile, and the countless stories that she shared. Visitation will be Thursday, August 5th from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Sartain Springs Cemetery with Reverend Roger Porter and Reverend Phil Hopkins officiating. Flowers are welcome. If you prefer another expression of sympathy, contributions may be made to the Sartain Springs Building Fund at Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
