Ethel B. Derrick

ETHEL B. DERRICK, age 76, of Chestnut Hill, TN passed away on August 29, 2007 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a seamstress for many people in the community and worked for Tennessee Handbags in Dandridge, then went to work for Arnold Engineering Co. in Sevierville, from where she retired. She was a member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fred H. Derrick; chilren, Chuck Layman (Peggy), Danny Layman (Tammy), Debbie Derrick Julian (Robert); grandchildren, Jody Layman, Chris Layman (Denise); great grandchildren, Hannah Layman, Natalie Layman; sisters, Cleo Helton of Indiana and Lorene Manning of Sevierville. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30, 2007 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in Dandrige from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Coleman officiating. The family will meet at Farrar Funeral Home on Friday at 1:15 p.m. to go in procession to Birchfield Memorial Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
