She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Carmichael; sisters, Mary Kate Talley, Virginia Hurst and Anna Taylor; brothers, George Purkey, Charlie Purkey, Frank Purkey and Robert Purkey. Survived by sisters, Margaret Wright, Dorothy Allen and Edna Warren; brother, Jack Purkey; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Graveside interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Friends and family may call from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, July 8, 2004 at the funeral home prior to the service.
