ESTLE EUGENE SILCOX, SR., of Talbott, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at his home. He was retired from Dillard-Smith Construction Company. Preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Pearl Silcox. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Earlene Silcox; sons and daughters-in-law, Estle (Jr.,) and Linda Silcox of Maryville, Donny and Karen Silcox of Rogersville; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Jerry Walker of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Jenny Silcox, Joey Silcox and wife, Sandra, Brittany Bruner and husband, Sam, Joe Silcox, Daniel Silcox, Lacey Martin and husband, Dustin, and Abby Walker; step-grandchildren, David Swanson and Mindy Krass; great-grandchildren, Payton Silcox, Brayden Morgan, Charlotte and Sarah Silcox and Taylor Bruner; step-great-grandchildren, Noah and Zackary Swanson, Aidan, Elliott and Rowan Krass; brothers, Henry Silcox of Ducktown, Boyce Silcox of Jacksboro and Ricky Silcox of Caryville; sisters, Imogene Vitatoe and Lois Ayers of Jacksboro, Stella Silcox and Brenda Cox of Caryville; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
