Estella B. Milligan Tully, age 94, of Dandridge, TN, formerly of Summerville, SC, and Peoria, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 08, 2010 in Morristown, TN. She was born to Herman and Flora Storm Milligan on June 16, 1915 in Tiskilawa, IL where she lived until age 16 before moving to the Peoria area, where she finished her schooling and graduated from Methodist School of Nursing. She was a nurse in Peoria for many years, before she and her late husband started their own business which they had for 30 years. After retiring, she became quite the world traveler, even scaling a mountain in Australia and crossing a glacier in Alaska both after the age of 90. She has been all over the world twice, and climbed the Great Wall of China while in her 80?s. Her favorite place in the world was Moscow, Russia, where she visited twice. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent T. Tully; son, Thomas V. Tully; parents; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Sloan Riggs and her husband Frank, of Dandridge; grandchildren, Julia L. Sloan, Erin Tully Clark, Kristen Sloan Wilhoite, Ryan V. Tully; great-grandchildren, Maura Clark, Patrick Clark and Cooper Wilhoite. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, SC at 9:00am. Graveside Interment will be in Summerville Cemetery following the service.
