Ernest (Bruce) Frazier age 80, of New Market, TN. Passed away November 24, 2015 at University of Tennessee Medical Center after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Dorcas Edmonds Frazier, and infant sister Dora. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jewell Whittaker Frazier; Children: Rick (Beverly) Watson, Angela Watson (Danny) Hensley, and Rhonda Watson (Pat) Brewer, grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Whited, Hannah Watson (Danny) Mills, Blake and Taylor Ratliff, and Audrey Jane Brewer, great grandson, Liam Whited, and several Frazier Cousins. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. He was employed by Farrar Funeral Home as a mortician for 58 years. He graduated from John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville, TN and was a member of the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association. He was a proud owner of a Century Farm dating back to 1834. Bruce proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict and also served as the first Veterans Officer in Jefferson County. He served on the Board of Directors for the Jefferson County Co-Op, served on the Jefferson County Sanitation Dept, and was voted by the public as Highway Commissioner, which he was currently serving. He was also one of the charter members of the Jefferson County Rescue Squad. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Dr. Sonny Strange and Rev. Eugene West officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Piney Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Military Honors given by VFW Post #5266. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm prior to the Funeral Service.
