Box 1025 Dandridge, TN 37725 Phone (865) 397-2711 Fax (865) 397-9289 OBITUARY: ERMYNTRUDE COX YOUNG NEFF, age 86, of Dandridge, TN passed away on November 5, 2005 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Mrs. Neff, daughter of Roy Lee and Lillian Howell Cox, was born on January 29, 1919 in Jefferson City, TN. Holding undergraduate and masters? degrees from the University of Tennessee, she was a secondary education teacher for 37 years in the Oak Ridge School System. Following her beginning years of teaching in Bulls Gap and Strawberry Plains, she worked in Michigan during WWII at one of Edsel Ford?s bomber plants. While in Oak Ridge, she taught a Sunday School class that divided three times at Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Neff is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, John Young and Harold Neff. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Neff Krause of Dandridge; cousins, Anne Howell Kitchens of Ponte Vedra, FL, Carol Howell Lacy of Memphis, TN, and J. V. Howell of Newport Beach, CA. Reception of friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge, TN. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
