OBITUARY:
EMMA JEAN PATTERSON, age 75, of Dandridge, TN, passed away Thursday morning, November 17, 2005 at her home. She was a member of Lawsons Chapel United Methodist Church and a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University. Following her graduation, Jean and Bob lived in Franklin, Ohio, where she taught school (4th grade) in the Warren County School System at Anthony-Wayne Elementary School for 36 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lin Mason Strange; sisters, Julia V. Townsend and Kathleen Brimer. She is survived by her husband, Leonard (Bob) Patterson; Eddie (Amy) Hogsten, Teresa (Jeff) Smith, who were raised by Leonard and Emma Jean Patterson; nieces and nephews, Sue Churchman, Gail Hogsten, Tom Brimer, Jack (Nina) Brimer, John (Dale) Brimer, John (Gayle) Townsend; great niece, Tisha (David) Brown; grandchildren, Kallie, Emily, Blaine and Hayley Smith, Emma and David Brown; and many more special great nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law, M. E. (Dorothy) Patterson; special nieces and nephews, Sam (Kay) Shipley and Mark (Ginger) Patterson; cousins, Mildred (Richard) Lindsey, along with many other friends and family members. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Farrar Funeral Home Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Perry Mason and Reverend Robert Brewer officiating. Graveside interment service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
