Emma Mae (Nannie) Ward. age 88, of White Pine, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Norris Health and Rehab Center in Andersonville, TN. Mrs. Ward was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church in White Pine. She worked for many years for Magnavox in Morristown and Greeneville.She worked for the Head Start Program in White Pine and then went to the Morristown program, and she also worked for the Foster Grandparents Program for a number of years. She loved working with children, and that was all she talked about. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Ward; sons, Kenneth Ward and Roger Ward; her parents,John and Kate Eldridge; and one brother, Charles Eldridge of Indiana. She is survived by her daughter; Shirley(Paul) Bailey of Knoxville; son, Calvin (Sherry) Ward of White Pine;sister, Ruth (Jack) Raper of Louisville, KY; brother, James (Diane) Eldridge of Bloomington, IL; sister-in-law, Bertha Eldridge of Winchester, IN; many nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and all the employees of Norris Health and Rehab Center in Andersonville for all the love and care they gave to the family and to their mother over the past year. ?If it wasn?t for them this would have been hard to get though. May God bless and keep each and everyone of you, always and forever.? Funeral service will be on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, with the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Charles Robison officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8PM prior to the service. Graveside interment will be on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00am in White Pine Cemetery.
