OBITUARY:
MRS. EMMA MEDORA INGRAM GIBSON, age 95, of Jefferson City, TN, born on February 19, 1912 in Jefferson City, TN, passed away July 14, 2007. She was the daughter of the late James Louie Ingram and Jennie Husband Ingram. Mrs. Gibson has honorably served her country and community by her service in schools, the Armed Forces, and the federal government. Mrs. Gibson resided with her devoted husband, John Gibson, in Detroit, MI, and upon retirement, the couple relocated to Jefferson City, TN, thereby fulfilling a dream of spending her twilight years with her siblings and family. She was a member of Boyd Chapel United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Army (WAC). Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her husband, John Gibson; her brothers, J. L. Ingram, Jr. and Howard Ingram; and her sisters, Marie Barnett and Louise Bellamy. Mrs. Gibson leaves to cherish her memories two devoted sisters, Gladys Reliford and Inez Dunwoody, both of Jefferson City, TN and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Janice Johnson and Rev. E. O. Cole officiating. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
