EMMA DOCKERY CHESTEEN, age 94, born May 30, 1914 and passed away October 5, 2008 at the Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. She was a resident of The Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport, TN. Preceded in death by husband, Elijah Cleo Chesteen; infant daughter, Betty Jean Chesteen; parents, Brownlow and Minnie Batson Dockery; sisters, Tina Hill, Melvina Dockery and Alamo Caughron; brother, Ponder Dockery; and son-in-law, Edward Lawrence. Survived by daughters, Dorothy Morie and husband, Bill of Talbott, TN, Madge Lawrence of Middleboro, MA, Gail Gregg and husband, Charles of Parrottsville, TN; son, Rev. Hudson Chesteen and wife, Shirley of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Mike Morie of Morristown, TN, Tony Morie of Bean Station, TN, Mark Morie of Talbott, TN, Sandra C. Wilson, Susan C. VanHoose and Scott Chesteen, all of Sevierville, TN, Kim L. Randall of Winder, GA, Julie L. Williams of Sudbury, MA, Steve Gregg of Talbott, TN, Sherry G. Smith of Newport, TN, Bryan Gregg of Parrottsville, TN and Shannon G. Samples of Newport, TN; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Arizona Hance of Dandridge, TN; several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Thomas Conway and the staff of the Baptist Hospital of Cocke County and the Baptist Convalescent Center staff for all their love, kindness and respect they gave to our mother. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Ed Lemmond and Brother Dale Rose officiating. Interment graveside services will be Thursday, october 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Hills Union Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home
