Elmer Bert Cody

ELMER BERT CODY, age 82, of White Pine, TN passed away at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville on October 10, 2010 after a long illness. He retired from American Enka with more than 40 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Lindy Grindstaff Cody; sister, Margaret Lilly Baxter; brother, Junior Cody and an infant sister. Survived by ex-wife, Ruth Holt Cody; daughters, Glenda Cody Hall, Shirley Cody Harris, Lois Cody and Leisa Cody Sinard; grandchildren, John David Hall III, Carrie Michelle Harris, Ashley Lance Sinard and Cody Ray Sinard; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Wilbert Cody, Allen Cody, Paul Cody, Cecil Cody and Robert Cody; sisters, Irene Smith, Dorothy Toby, Elsie Sartain and Jenny Gray; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Mt. Zion Church of God with Rev. Billy Dale Shelton officiating. Interment to follow in White Pine Cemetery.
