Ella Leona Varnell

Ella Leona Varnell, 93 of New Market, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 13, 2020 after a brief illness. She was a member of Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a caregiver for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Daisy Carter Varnell; brothers, Clarence and Ralph Varnell, sisters, Sarah Kate Northern, Margaret Varnell, Altha Puckett, Rula Varnell, Vera Varnell and Bonnie Crooke. Ella is survived by her sisters, Maude Lindsey-Herrell, and Wilma Ellison; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors that loved her dearly. Graveside service will be Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Cemetery in Jefferson City with Bro. Roy Miller and Pastor Sherry Sellars officiating. Ella will lie in state on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge and Sunday, May 17, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM before the graveside service.
