Eligah “EM” Rogers, age 83 of White Pine, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. EM was a retired chemist at BASF and retired Staff Sargent for the United States Army Medical Corp, a member of First Baptist Church, Morristown, a board member for Jefferson County Nursing Home, a former employee of Westside Chapel Funeral Home, a volunteer with Remote Area Medical, a volunteer with First Love on Main, a honorary member of Phi Delta Theta. EM and Linda managed to travel to 49 states over the course of their retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Zettie Rogers; sister, Addie Mae Rogers Henry. EM is survived by his wife of 59 years Linda Wood Rogers; sons, Stuart (Joy) Rogers, Chad (Marty Suitor) Rogers; granddaughters, Erin (Joe) Bilotti, Jenna Rogers; great-grandson, Micah Bilotti. A military graveside service will be held at Seahorns Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 am and a memorial service will be at 1:00 pm in First Baptist Church, Morristown with Reverend Tim Bray officiating. The family has requested, In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to First Love on Main, 504 West Main Street, Morristown, TN 37814. Due to Covid, everyone is encouraged to abide by all CDC guidelines with masks and social distancing.
