Effie Cleo Williams Roberts

EFFIE CLEO WILLIAMS ROBERTS, age 88, of Talbott, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her daughter?s home in Jefferson City, TN. A member of Thankful Baptist Church, she was a great prayer warrior, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis B. Roberts; parents, William (Bill) and Ailcy (Barnard) Williams of Lee County, VA; one sister and six brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Leon) Morgan of Rutledge, TN and Darlene (Glenn) Hipsher of Jefferson City, TN; five grandchildren, Nancy Moles, Scott (Nancy) Morgan, Patsy Byrd, Paul (Jane) Byrd and Daniel Hipsher; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Taylor, Zachary Byrd, Dylan Moles, Langley and Chandler Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A special thanks to her wonderful neighbors, Clyde and Louise Laughlin, to Covenant Home Care and Hospice for their loving nurses and a very special thanks to Judy Collins for her many hours of loving care to our mother. We love you, Judy. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Dennis Alder and Rev. Glen Sufferidge officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at Grainger Memorial Gardens.
