Edward Paul Maynard, age 75 of Dandridge, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Born in Holden, West Virginia on October 3, 1949; Mr. Maynard was a Christian and a proud veteran of the US Military. In fact, he served active duty in the United States Marine Corps, the United States Army, and the Air National Guard reserves. In addition, he retired from the Air Force reserves, served as a leader in Boy Scouts of America, and retired from a career with the National Weather Service.

Mr. Maynard was preceded in death by his father, Howard S. Maynard; mother, Frances Turyn; and step-father, Paul E. Maynard; as well as a brother, Timothy Maynard; and a son, Edward Paul Maynard, II. He is survived by his wife Anita Honea; son, David A. Maynard; brothers, H. Samuel (Sherry) Maynard & James A. (Kay) Maynard; as well as numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will take place from 5PM to 7PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. A committal service with military honors is scheduled for 12:30PM Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, located on Governor John Sevier Highway in Knoxville.
