Edward "Eddie" Belcher

EDWARD “EDDIE” BELCHER, age 66, of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith, retired from Eastern Coal Corporation, member of Local 5737 UMWA, American Legion Post 113, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. Preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Vertle Belcher; daughter, Verlonna Belcher Lowe; sister, Beatrice Thacker; brothers, Kilton Belcher, Willie Belcher and Sidney Belcher. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Belcher; children, Stephanie Abshire (Chris) of Pikeville, KY, Sean Belcher of Strawberry Plains, TN, Shane Belcher of Gray, TN; grandchildren, Zachary Belcher, Ian Belcher, Shyla Belcher and David C. Taylor; great-grandchildren, Carson Taylor, Kylie Taylor; sisters, Patty Ramey (Harold), Janetta Johnson and Peggy Watson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Berry officiating. Military graveside entombment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
