EDWARD J. CHAMBERS (ED or BOOTJACK), of Dandridge, TN, born September 3, 1937 passed away on January 27, 2009. He was a retired employee of New Jersey Zinc Mines and the Jefferson County Farmers Coop. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ellen Chambers; sisters, Sandra Lynn and Dorothy E. Chambers; brothers, Roger and Samuel Chambers. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Chambers; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie (Stan) Croxdale of Talbott, TN; grandchildren, Lucas and Emily Croxdale of Talbott, TN; step-children and families, (Gail) Steve and Jonathan McG.eorge of Morristown, TN, (Rickey) Cheryl and Christopher Hubbard of White Pine. TN. He is survived by brother, Floyd (Pod) and Shirley Chambers of Jefferson City, TN; sisters, Hazel Dunigan and Anna Mae Davis of Ohio, Barbara Jane Smith of Talbott, TN, Mildred (Jim) Strange of Jefferson City, Dora Grace (Bill) Mason of Whitesburg, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Maxine Morgan of Knoxville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of Jefferson Memorial Hospital and the Life Care Center of Jefferson City. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers, Rev. Scott Brady and Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
