Edna "Olene"

EDNA "OLENE" MAY, age 74, of Dandridge, TN passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, February 4, 2010 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. She moved to Jefferson County in 1976 and became an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge, where she enjoyed and had a passion for being involved with the music ministry by participating in the church choir and handbells. Olene loved her family and was a very much beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Charles) Piper, Deborah (William) Kindy and Krista (Brian) Evans; son, Bobby May, Jr.; grandchildren, Donell, Julia, Robby, Taelor, Josh, Tori and Jacob; sister, Jean (Richard) Sodders; brothers, Richard, Bill (Janet) and John (Linda) Kindred. Funeral service will be held at 7;00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Robert Brown and Dr. Robert Mccray officiating. Interment graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
