Edna Wine Hammer

Edna Wine Hammer, age 88 of Dandridge, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Life Care of Morristown. She was the daughter of the late Niles and Amanda Conway Wine and she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Benton Hammer, sisters, Mary Wine and Sarah Ruth (Bill) Webb, brother, Elmer (Vivian) Wine. Edna was a long time employee of Jefferson Co. Bank, and she enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Edna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Gail (Mike) Woody and Mike (Teena) Hammer; grandchildren, Luke Troutman, Bradley (Brandi) Troutman, Savannah Hammer, Eli (Madeleine) Hammer, and Cole Hammer; several great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Frances (Mary Sue) Hammer, sister-in-law, Jean Hammer; several nieces and nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express special thanks to caregivers, Shelia Poe Richards and Ashley Avery and her family at Life Care Center of Morristown and Avalon Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial gifts be made to your favorite charity. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday December 8, 2021, 2:00pm at Dandridge Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Kelly Reed officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 7 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
