Edith Jewell Royston

EDITH JEWELL (CODY) ROYSTON, age 81, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015. Edith was born on February 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Charles Cody and Ina DeBord Cody. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Johnie Royston; sister, Bertha Lou Mayes; and brothers, Donnie and Joe Cody. Edith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Misty Royston; special granddaughter, Emily Royston; sisters, Pat (Mike) Snodderly and Shirley (Wesley) Ross; step-daughter, Marcia Groome; step –grandchildren, Justin (Andrea) Groome; sarah Groome and Jonathan Groome and five step-great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Ridgeview Terrace of Life Care in Rutledge, TN for their care of Edith and also to special friends Eugene O’Dell and Steve Shipley for their continued support. Funeral services, Thursday, November 12, 2015, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Interment graveside services will be Friday, 2:00pm at the Royston Family Cemetery, Sneedville, TN.
