Edgar R. Bruner

EDGAR A. BRUNER, age 73, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at home. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer of Jefferson County, retired from ASARCO after 37 years of employment, and was financial secretary of ICWU Local 700 for 33 years. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Condon and Lillian Bruner; brother, Lloyd Bruner; and grandson, James Bruner. Survived by loving wife, Gracie; sons, Allen and wife Martie, Marvin, Robert and Ricky Bruner; grandchildren, Zachary, Whitney, Brandy and Jason Bruner; great-grandchildren, Winter, Haley, Melody and Cody. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Lloyd and Rev. Dennis Alder officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaver Creek Cemetery.
