EDDIE RENEAU, age 69, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2008 at his home following a two and half year battle with cancer. He was born July 27, 1939 in Dandridge, TN. He was a devoted husband, father and gradddaddy. Eddie was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and was retired from the BASF Engineering Department. A veteran of the U. S. Army, serving with the 101st Airborne Division, he was active in his community, having served on the Dandridge City Council. He was a former football coach at Maury High School and volunteered his time with the Little League Football and Baseball programs. Preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Blanche Reneau and niece, Beth Gaut Woods. Survived by his wife, Alice Reneau; children, Terry and Vera Reneau, Mike and Missy Reneau, Christy and Rusty Whillock; grandchildren, Jessi Hillary, Jake and Katy Reneau, Allison and Reed Whillock, Brandon and Lindsey Walker; future great-granddaughter, Emma Jaye; sister, Faye (Richard) Romine; aunt, Naomi (Kent) Mcspadden; brother-in-law, Bill (Iva Lee) Carmichael; special friends, Gerald Suttles and Bill Hance. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN, or the Dandridge Recreation Facilities, c/o Angie Donahoo, P. O. Box 398, Dandridge, TN. Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Robert Brown and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
