Earl A. Henry,age 78 of Dandridge passed away Friday, August 30, 2002 following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Jim and Bessie Templin Henry and was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Henry and brother Edgar Henry. Earl was a life long resident of the Sandy Ridge community of Jefferson County, a veteran of the U>S> Army and World War II, receiving he medal of valor, the Bronze Star, member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and retired from Graning Paint Centers after many years of service. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Harris Henry; nieces and nephews, Ann Deatherage and husband Joe of Norris, TN, Jim Harris and wife Setsuko of Oliver Springs, TN, Lynn Essary and Kim, Joe Ed Essary and wife Susan, all of Tazewell, Nita Oakwood and husband Richard of Irvington, AL, Charlotte Clark and husband Charlie of Oak Ridge; cousins, Gene and Mary Elizabeth Henry, Jackie and Ed Delbaugh and special friend, Ted Felknor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00 at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to services at the church. Arrangements by Farrar Fuenral Home in Dandridge.
