Earl H. Gentry

Earl H. Gentry, age 94 of Talbott, TN passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Heritage Center, Morristown. He was a farmer for 65 years, retired from New Jersey Zinc Mines after 27 years of service and a WWII veteran. Member of Lebanon Baptist Church for 83 years. Preceded in death by first wife, Bertie Love Gentry; daughter, Lisa McMurray; son-in-law, Harle Harrison; granddaughter, Wendy Harrison Blalock; parents, E.W. and Sena Rowe Gentry; brothers, Vance and Elmer Gentry; sisters, Marie Gentry, Ora Lee Noe, Pearl Harris and Ruth Hale. Survived by wife, Ruby Gentry; son Rick Gentry and daughter-in-law, Randie of Talbott; daughter Earlene Harrison of Talbott; step son, Robert Williams of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Ada Templin of Alcoa; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and special granddaughter, Sarah McMurray. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City with Rev. Charlie Brewer officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sunderland Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016 for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at the funeral website.
