Douglas D. Taylor, age 80, of Dandridge, TN passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023 at his home. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Born in Glen Alum, WV on June 1, 1943 to Dewey and Norma (France) Taylor. He worked in Ohio and Florida and served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He received medals for National Defense Service and Expert (rifle) and served in Vietnam.

Douglas is proceeded in death by parents, Dewey and Norma; brothers, Dock, Jim (Mary), Bob (Liz), Roy (Wanda), and Bill; sister; Shirley; brother-in-law, Red.

He is survived by his wife Linda; son, David (partner Paula); step-children, Chad (Deanna) McCoy, Rebecca (James) Roberts, and Michael (Stephanie) McCoy; grandchildren, Lea, Joseph, and Emma McCoy, Douglas, Logan (Sydney) and Carissa Roberts, Torrin, and Layton McCoy; brothers, Joe (Pat) and Jerry; sisters, Judy (Jack) Gillum, and Kathy Fielden; sister-in-law, Louise and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to follow at 3:00pm with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating and the graveside interment with Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
