Douglas Leon Branner, age 64 of Dandridge passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at Serenity House in Morristown. Doug loved the Tennessee Vols and the New England Patriots football teams. He was a sweet-tempered man who was good to everyone. He lived his life to the fullest. Doug attended Bethel Presbyterian Church as a youth. Although he never joined a church, he still knew and loved the Lord. He was loved greatly by his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Branner Neal; father, Raymond Bragg and several other family and friends.
Doug is survived by his sisters, Bobbie Richardson and Diane Neal Byrge (Jamey) all of Dandridge; Aunts, Edna Jean Taylor of Dandridge and Stella Ownsby of Newport; Niece, Hailyn Byrge; nephews, Tony Richardson (Marcie), and Hunter Byrge (Harley) all of Dandridge, along with several great nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and his special buddies, Pam and Shawn Taylor.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 5, 2022 at 2:00PM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Branner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery in Dandridge.
