Dorothy Turner Woods

Dorothy Turner Woods, age 90, of White Pine, TN passed away at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Born May 30, 1923 in Corbin, KY and raised in Kingsport, she was the beloved wife of the late Homer C. Woods, and a devoted mother to Eddie Woods and wife Marilyn, She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Maxie McCoig and Shirley Woods; also several wonderful nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Jones Wallin and Drama Lumpkins; a brother, Bill Turner; and her parents, Ed and Dora Turner. Dorothy was a member of Edward's Chapel United Methodist Church in White Pine. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, 6:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine, with the Rev. Mike Hensley and Rev. Charles Shipley officiating. Graveside Interment will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Family and friends are asked to meet at White Pine Cemetery at 9:45am for the 10:00am service.
