Dorothy Morie

DOROTHY MORIE, age 88, of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday evening, September 20, 2013 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. She was born September 4, 1925, the daughter of the late W.O. Marion and Leola Dobbins Marion. Preceded in death by brothers, Ted Marion, Norman “Doc” Marion, Jimmy Marion and W.O. Marion, Jr.; sisters, Nebraska Marion, Goldean Carr, Thelma Peters, Mae Kathleen McIntosh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry R. and Grace Morie, Sr.; sister-in-law, Ida Morie. She is survived by her husband, Harry R. “Pete” Morie, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Susan Morie; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Josh Pitts, Jeff Morie and John Morie; great-grandchildren, Jacob Morie, Jonah Morie, Ella Grace Morie, and Nate Pitts; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Lynn and Norma Slaton, W.D. Goforth and Faye Morie. Funeral service will be Monday, September 23, 2013, 7:00pm at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Interment graveside servics, Tuesday, 11:00am at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday evening, 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE 865-397-2711
