Dorothy June Reynolds Frye

DOROTHY JUNE REYNOLDS FRYE, age 89, of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday evening, November 28, 2013 at the Chandler House of Jefferson City. She was an active member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church where she was a member of the church choir. She will be fondly remembered for her active participation in the Shady Grove UMW, Dandridge Senior Citizens, Dandridge Garden Club, Shady Grove Home Demonstration and her sharing as volunteer at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her husband, Prentis Frye Sr; parents, Earl and Betty Reynolds; brothers, Glen and Carroll Reynolds. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Mary Frye of Dandridge, Terry and Cathy Frye of Nashville, Phil and Becky Frye of Knoxville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge their sincere appreciation for the love and care shown to Dot “Dorothy” by the staff of Chandler House. Funeral services, Sunday, December 1, 2013, 5:30pm at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Joey Manis officiating. Interment graveside services, Monday, December 2, 2013, 10:00am at Shady Grove Cemetery. The body will be moved to the church to lie in state on Sunday at 3:00pm. There will be an Earthly Celebration Feast Meal for all who wish to attend beginning at 4:00 until time of services at the Shady Grove UMC fellowship hall and will also serve as a time of greeting and sharing. The Shady Grove United Methodist Men will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 1675 Harold Patterson Rd., Dandridge, TN 37725.
