Dorothy Jean Arwood Brown

Dorothy Jean Arwood Brown, age 75, of White Pine, TN passed away at Jefferson County Nursing Home on October 20, 2016. Dorothy was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lacy Brown; her son, Joel Brown; and grandson, Jesse Brown; granddaughter, Lydia Brown. She is also survived by brothers; Tip (Carolyn) Arwood, Clayton (Sharon) Arwwod, both of White Pine; sister, Gladys Cleek of Gate City, VA; sisters-in-law, Wilma Arwood and Sue Arwood. both of White Pine, and Ruth (James) Whitlock of Newport; also a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. She is preceded in death by her son, Lance Brown; parents, John C. and Bell Arwood; sister, Maude Arwood; brothers, Charlie Arwood, Bunt Arwood, and John Calvin Arwood; nephews, Scott, Johnny, Don, Dale and Jerry Arwood. Funeral Service will be held at Leadvale Baptist Church on Saturday, October 22, 2016, 2:00pm with the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Family will receive friends from 12-2:00pm prior to the funeral at the church. Graveside interment service will be held at White Pine Cemetery following the funeral service. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Farrar Funeral Home, P.O. Box 206, White Pine, TN 37890 to help with the funeral expenses.
