Dorothy Cagle

Dorothy Ann Cagle, 78, passed away peacefully on September 12 th, 2019 and was met by her Savior, Jesus Christ, to make her journey home to Heaven. She was born Dorothy Ann Shipley on January 26, 1941 in Morristown, Tennessee to Forrest (John) and Tennie Shipley. Dorothy was loved by all who met her. She always put everyone before herself. She was a loving Mother, Mamaw, Mother-in-law, Sister and Aunt. She was a member of Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Vacation Bible School secretary for over 10 years. Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, Forrest (John) Bedford Shipley and Tennie Bell (Calfee) Shipley. She is also preceded by her loving son, Mark Alan Cagle. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Corum, son-in-law Mark Corum, and grandchildren Tyler and Emily. She is survived by her son Charles Jason (Chuck) Cagle (Lisha), grandchildren, Allyson, Ashlyn, Victoria, and Rebekah (Harley). She is also survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Bud Cagle. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice, especially to her nurses, Angie and Julie, for their loving care during her illness. The family will be receiving friends at Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, September 15th, 2019 from 1:00 - 3:00p.m with funeral service to follow. The Graveside Service will immediately follow at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Leadvale Baptist Church Building Fund.
