Dorothy Ogle Brown

DOROTHY OGLE BROWN, age 84, of Newport, TN formerly of Dandridge passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 following an extended illness. She was a member of the Dandridge First Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Jefferson County Register of Deeds office. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Emma (Householder) Ogle of Sevier County and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brown, (a long-time Dandridge barber); brothers, Carroll and James Ogle. She is survived by her children, Mike Brown and his wife Patti, and Scott Brown and his wife Bessie; grandchildren, Christopher (Meredith) Brown and Stephanie (Conley) Ownby, Darrell (Tracy) Brown and Jerry (Debbie) Brown; great-children, Emma , Liam and Ewan Ownby, Katie (Dustin), Ashley, Jared and Logan. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Winters officiating. Interment graveside services will be held Saturday, 10:00am at Grant’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
