Doris Lynn Collins

DORIS LYNN FRANKLIN COLLINS, age 82 of Dandridge, TN passed away Wednesday, February 01, 2023, peacefully at her home. She was born May 1, 1940, in Dandridge, TN the daughter of the late Hood and Lucy Franklin.  She was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Maury High School and the Walters State RN Nursing Program. Following graduation, she had a 45 year career as a RN at Jefferson Memorial Hospital where she loved taking care of her patients.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Alice Jo and Bill Mitchell; brother, Nathan Hood Franklin and is survived by her children, Jere (Randall) Kiser, Jon Blair, Jeff (Tonia) Collins, Breanna Collins and Kris (Aaron) Anderson; special niece, Lindsay (Matthew) Talley; grandchildren, Jeni (Dadrain) Kiser, Michael, Diana and Grace Blair, Drew, Justin, and Leanna Collins, Alicia Anderson, Amber (Joe) Bailey, Abby ( Jessica) Anderson, Blake (Emma) Talley and Lucy Talley; Great Grandchildren, Braedyn and Averie Kiser, Greyson Collins, Kaden Blair and Olivia Grantham.  In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be made to the Hebron Cemetery Fund, c/o Albert Blackburn, 433 Dumplin Valley Rd. E, Jefferson City, TN 37760.  Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023, 1:00pm at Hebron Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.  The body will lie in state where friends may call at their convenience on Friday from 9:00 to 5:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME in DANDRIDGE, 162 East Meeting St. 865-397-2711.
