Dorcas Jean Phillips

Dorcas Jean Phillips, age 67 of Talbott, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dorcas always lived her life to look after others. She is a life-long member of Ebenezer Methodist Church, she retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services, Child Support Office. Preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Bobbie Lawson, brother, Billy Ray Lawson, father-in-law, Louie Phillips III and niece, Marjorie Phillips. She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Louie Phillips, sons, Jesse and John Wolfenbarger, grandson, Michael Wolfenbarger, sister, Claudine (Steve) Harris, mother-in-law, Mollie Phillips, sisters-in-law, Peggy (Paul) Hurst, Kim Gounine and Genie Phillips, several nieces, nephews, other family members and several friends.

 Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Ebenezer Methodist Church at 2:00pm with the Rev.  Doug Wilder officiating, family will receive friends between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm prior to the service at the church, where everyone is asked to wear your favorite UT orange to help celebrate Dorcas.  Graveside Service will follow the service in Ebenezer Church Cemetery. The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations be made to Ebenezer Methodist Church 1122 Ebenezer Church Rd, Talbott, TN 37877 in Dorcas's memory.
