Dora Dean Holland Banks

DORA DEAN HOLLAND BANKS, age 85, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Banks; and a daughter, Lois Newman; and five brothers and sisters. She was survived by children, Anne Banks Gentry Fannin, John Banks and wife Belle, Dail Banks and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Mike Newman, Leanne Newman Carpenter, Angela Gentry Nutt, Adam Newman, Alesha and Aaron Graves, and Eric Williams; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Chloe Johnson and Carolyn Strunk; brother, Rev. John Holland and wife Pat; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jefferson City Health and Rehab and Smoky Mountain Hospice for their loving care. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Province officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
