Donna (Cookie) Cate, age 52, of New Market, TN passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Cate; parents, Jimmy and Betty Brook;, daughters, Crystal (Roy) Strange, Melissa Boatman; son, Joey Cate; grandchildren, Logan and Lexus Kaiser, Mercede Strange, Destiny and Chelsey Boatman, Kandie Boatman; sister, Sharon (Ted) Cate; brothers, David (Billie) Brooks, Micheal Brooks, and Jimmy Brooks. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Bryant officiating. Family and friends will gather at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Cate Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home.
