Diana Williams Underwood

DIANA WILLIAMS UNDERWOOD went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 5, 2015. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. Diana was retired from Walmart after more than 20 years. Diana was a devoted wife, mom and nanny. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Leon; her parents, Leonard and Annie Williams; brothers, Cleo, Jim and Bill Williams; and loving son-in-law, Mark Reed. Survivors include loving and devoted daughters, Pam Simpson, Angie R. Montgomery (Kevin), Lori Penton; and a wonderful devoted son, Leon, Jr. (Bub) and loving and devoted daughter-in-law, Mona; grandchildren, Joshua Toney, Tyler Simpson, Jacob and Malynn Penton, Madison and Alli Reed, and Chuck Periut; great-grandchildren, Landon, Rylan and McKinley Toney, and Mason Simpson. Diana has touched many lives and made many lasting and loving friendships. She has a wonderful church family whom she loved. Diana will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Neal and Rev. Theo Messer officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Eastview Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
