Member of Southside Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Bud Shanks; grandson, Paul Whitaker; mother, Vada Spencer; brother, Fain Morgan, sisters, Mary V. Willyerd and Aline Morgan. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dennis Whitaker, Debbie and David Rynes, Pat and Frankie Ward, all of Rutledge; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Satterfield of Rutledge and Linda Ball of Newport; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2005 at Buffalo Baptist Church with Reverend Martin Roach and Reverend Jack Hipshire officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Buffalo Baptist Church prior to the service.
