Delphia Hill Musick

Delphia Hill Musick, age 81, of Morristown, TN passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at The Terrace Estates. She was born in Clairfield, TN on January 29, 1929. Delphia retired from Levi Strauss (Knoxville, TN). She was one of 16 children raised by her parents in a small coal mining community. Delphia loved growing vegetables and flowers, and canning or freezing foods for winter meals. Delphia attended New Hope Baptist Church in Corryton for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. J.H Hill; her mother, Mrs. J. H. (Bertha Williams) Hill; several sisters and brother; and special friend Roy Human. She is survived by son, Wayne (Wanda ) Musick of Morristown; grandchildren, Lesley Higgins of Johnson City, TN, Brent (Jennifer) Musick of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Laney Musick of Morristown; great-grandson, Nicholas Higgin; sister, Sarah (Carl) Brady of White Pine, TN many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Randall and Debbie Medley. A special THANK YOU goes to the staff of The Terrace Estates and Hospice CNAs Gina Dean and Ginny Yeary. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010, at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p. m. with interment to follow at Coleman Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cancer foundation of one?s choice or New Hope Baptist Church (865-688-5330) in Corryton.
