DELMER "BIG" MANNING, age 66, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 following a long battle with kidney disease and Parkinson's Disease. He was the son of the late Jesse Burnette Manning and Minnie Ruth Patterson Manning. Preceded in death by brothers, Ray, L. C. and his twin brother, Elmer Manning. He was an employee of Tannessee Handbags for over 28 years and following his retirement, he managed a trade booth at the 407 Flea Market. He was an avid fisherman and truly enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survived by wife of 44 years. Joann Webb Manning; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Michelle Manning; grandchildren, Amber and C. J. Manning; sister, Lillian Gaines; brother, Robert Manning; fishing buddy, Kelley Phillips and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel. Interment graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hills Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funerla home.
