Deane Spickard Smith

DEANE SPICKARD SMITH, age 86, of White Pine, TN passed away friday afternoon, August 31, 2007 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City. She was an honors graduate of the University of Tennessee and a retired American Enka employee. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and currently attended the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by son, Robert M. Smith; parents, Lucy Bull Spickard and Ike Spickard; brothers, Bill Spickard and Howard Spickard. She is survived by daughter, Marilyn Smith Bingmann and husband, Richard; granddaughters, Melissa Binkmann, Jenny Bingmann Ryan, Rachel Bingmann Menard, Karen Smith Carr and Sarah Smith Ricker; great grandchildren, Jacob Hooker, Jack Carr and Ryleigh Deane Ricker; sisters, Dorothy Spickard Biddle and Vera June Spickard Williams; nieces, Mary Morris, Dorothy Chambers, Gayle Schmidt and Janet Altemus; nephew, Jack Williams. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of Jefferson City for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel of White Pine with Rev. Mark Hicks officiating. Interment to follopw in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
