He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, a retired employee of Jefferson County Sanitation Department, and was a former employee of Allied Chemical. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Korean Conflict. Survived by wife, Pat Shelton Campbell; children, Gene Huskey, Floyd Huskey and Kae Smith; grandson, Thomas Smith; special grandchild, Roy Eugene Huskey, Jr.; granddaughters, April Smith, Veronica McCuiston, Kelly Huskey; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Delores (David) Spencer; nieces, Laura, Sandy and Kelly. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Deep Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Sledge, Reverend Garland Long and Reverend Chad Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
