David Lynn Skeen

DAVID LYNN SKEEN, age 84, passed away on November 16, 2024 from complications of bladder cancer. He was an avid fisherman, real estate broker for over 50 years, and owned and operated Apple Valley Resort on Cherokee Lake. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. After his retirement, he put pictures to music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Carl Skeen; and sister, Dorothy Skeen. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mala Skeen; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Tom Kirkpatrick, Laura and Doug Hayes; grandchildren, Evan and Kelly Kirkpatrick, Nolan and Lori Hayes, Carly Kirkpatrick and Sam Schain, Summer and Ryan Johnson, Lucas Kirkpatrick and Tesch Jerles; great-grandsons, Judah Wesley Hayes and Cameron David Kirkpatrick; brothers, Ron (Jean) Skeen, Clifford (Norma) Skeen; sisters, Julie (Doug) Moody, Carolyn Skeen, Cynthia (Frank) Gioscia, Carla Skeen, Mary Skeen and Martha Skeen; uncle, Doug (Helen) Skeen; aunt, Katy Hodges; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
