David Elmer Gale

DAVID ELMER GALE, age 72, of Dandridge, TN passed away on April 23, 2017. He was born October 15, 1944 in Peekskill, NY. He was retired from IBM in Mechanicsburg, PA, was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam, was a member of the Port Orange Bible Study Group, and the Navy SEABEE Island X-19 Veteran Association. Preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Judson Gale and Ruth Bargar Gale. He is survived by his wife, Louise A. Gale; step-sons, Chris, Blair, Daryl and Alex Bodan; brother, Douglas Judson Gale, Jr. and sister-in-law, Helen Gale; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, TN. Following the service and beginning at 1:00 p.m. on May 4, family will receive friends at 1746 Stone Bridge Drive in Dandridge, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of David E. Gale.
